Negative Symptoms Study – Outpatient

About the Study

Do you experience the negative symptoms of schizophrenia?

You are not alone. Nearly 60% of people with schizophrenia experience at least one negative symptom, such as lack of motivation or limited interaction with other people. However, many medications prescribed for schizophrenia do not effectively treat negative symptoms. This study will access the safety and effectiveness of a new medication to treat negative symptoms of schizophrenia. By participating in this study, you will help us learn more about the new medication, which could one day help many people experiencing negative symptoms due to schizophrenia. This study is sponsored by Avanir Pharmaceuticals.
