MDD Study – Outpatient

About the Study

Are you currently experiencing a depressive episode?

This is a study to evaluate the efficacy of a new medication called SAGE-217 when taken alone with one of the following antidepressants: Zoloft, Lexapro, Celexa, Cymbalta, or Effexor. You do not have to currently be taking any anti-depressant to participate in this study. Study sponsored by Sage Therapeutics.

Length of Study: Up to 70 days 

Eligibility 

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • are between the ages of 18 – 64 years old
  • have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder
  • are experiencing a depressive episode
  • are willing to take either Zoloft, Lexapro, Cymbalta, OR Effexor along with SAGE-217, the study medication  

If chosen for this study, you will be compensated for every study visit that you complete and we can provide transportation if needed.
