MDD with Anhedonia Study – Outpatient

About the Study

Are you currently experiencing a depressive episode with anhedonia?

This study is designed to test the effects of a new antidepressant on individuals with major depressive disorder who are currently experiencing a depressive episode. Specifically, looking to see if the study medication is effective in alleviating anhedonia, a symptom of depression defined as inability to take pleasure in activities and lack of joy. This study is sponsored by BlackThorn Therapeutics.

Length of Study: 8 weeks


You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • are between the ages of 25-65
  • have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder
  • are not currently on antidepressants or are willing to go off their current antidepressants
  • are experiencing a depressive episode

If chosen for this study, you will be compensated for every study visit that you complete and we can provide transportation if needed.
